Siân Storey Funeral Celebrant

A little bit about me:

It’s important to know something about the person you are entrusting your arrangements with, whether it’s for a celebration of life, a wedding or whatever the occasion…..part of getting things right is all about good communication.

I qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1980 working mainly in the Critical/Intensive Care setting; during this time, I met my husband and we got married in 1984.

Towards the end of the 80’s we lived and worked in Spain for 4 years in our family owned bar and restaurant, coming back to the UK in 1993 where we moved to Scotland.

Initially I came back into Nursing but left the NHS to pursue a more varied career including Medical Device Sales.

In 2011 I completed a Return to (Nursing) Practice course and went on to gain my BSc in Professional Practice at Stirling University. I worked for a Medical Device company as a Nurse Advisor until I semi-retired in 2018 and trained as a Funeral Celebrant with the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants (UKSOC).

My passion now?   Helping people tell their story in whatever form that takes; personal, formal or informal, it is what you want it to be.
